deAsra Foundation organised a workshop on ‘Food Business’ for those interested in doing this business, the feature of this workshop was that 20 tips to run a food business were given. This workshop was organized at MCCIA, Pudumaji Hall, Pune.
Food Business is one of the fastest growing industries in India. But there are many challenges like initially legal formalities, business management, marketing, productivity and how to control the quality of your product, as well as barcoding and production store.
Ms Rohini Deshmukh, Udyog Mitra, deAsra Foundation gave guidance to the entrepreneurs present. Also provided information about courses that are available from the government for food processing and also what documents and procedures are required to start the business.
Ms Rohini Deshmukh said, “It is easy to start a business but difficult to continue. For the first six months, you have to be persistent in business and let the business continue without expecting much profit during this period”. She further said, “If the customer is given more than their expectations in the food business, then it will be helpful to gain more customers”.
The workshop touched upon the points like the scaling of business, managing orders, hygiene, study of market trends, and how to expand your business. Also, the question-answer session was done and more than 80 entrepreneurs were present at the workshop.
